Anderson Island Citizens Advisory Board

The purpose of the AICAB is to facilitate a structured two-way communication process between the County and island residents regarding significant issues affecting the community within Pierce County’s jurisdiction.

Anderson Island Parks and Recreation

The Anderson Island Community currently supports six developed and three undeveloped parks that provide a variety of recreational opportunities for residents and visitors.

American Legion Post 265 and Community Center

American Legion Post 265 and Community Center maintains the community clubhouse where many island activities take place throughout the year. Post 265 Anderson is a very active post, supporting other island organizations with a focus on regional needs of veterans and their families. American Legion hosts Bingo on Wednesdays at the Lakeshore Restaurant at 5pm, proceeds going to various local organizations.

The Anderson Island Historical Society provides a view of the lifestyle of living on an island in the southern-most part of Puget Sound by preserving local culture, thereby enabling present and future generations to learn about and maintain the heritage of this unique style of living.
